SEPTC - Over 20 Years of STD Training 1988 - 2010
The Southeast STD/HIV Prevention Training Center (SEPTC) - formerly the Florida STD/HIV PTC - is a joint project of the Florida Department of Health Bureau of STD Prevention and Control, University of South Florida College of Medicine Division of Infectious Disease and International Medicine, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The Center was created in 1988 in response to Florida's significant STD morbidity with initial funding from the CDC. SEPTC offers training for healthcare providers in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) including HIV.
